Sunset Proms is one of the school’s main fundraiser events and usually takes place on a Saturday afternoon in early June. The school hosts a number of local bands which entertain the crowds spread out on picnic blankets on the sports field. DSD parents help make and sell German delicacies to keep the stomachs full.
Soon after sunset the DSD kids parade their hand-crafted lanterns whilst singing traditional German lantern songs.
