The Deutsche Schule Durban opens its doors to very special visitors on this day: More than 130 grandparents and great-grandparents come to see where their grandchildren learn and play and to pass an entertaining morning with coffee and cake. The children prepare a packed programme (with the help of their teachers): The orchestra, recorder players and everyone singing gives their all and delight with classics ranging from “Das Auto von Lucio” to the “Phantom of the Opera”. The grade 7 tributes to their grandparents are especially touching.
