Being a small school enables each child to participate in all sporting events and we increasingly participate in inter-school fixtures. Teamwork and individual performance are both important life skills. At the DSD, netball and soccer encourage teamwork and swimming and athletics promote individual performance. We also play cricket and participate in cross country events.
Each child participates in the Schwimmfest (Swimming Gala) in the first term and the Sportfest (Sports Day) in the third term. Although achievements are acknowledged and celebrated at the DSD, participation is also highly praised.
