What started as a Friday evening event at St Henry’s Marist School (which had to be called off due to an incoming thunder storm), ended as a Monday morning swim at our usual swimming pool at Kainon School.
8 records were broken this year. 5 of these were broken by Melanie Cooke and 3 by Kirk Wilson. Melanie broke the record that her mother Sonja Cooke nee. Fritsch had set back in 1979. The legacy continues.
The “Schwimmfest” ended with the ceremonial Grade 7 Pajama Race, which was concluded by throwing our Headmaster Mr Peter Deppe in the pool.
After waiting for 3 years, House Moritz finally won the “Schwimmfest” again.
